Offsite Backup Upgrade

Our Offsite Backup Service underwent a major upgrade over the weekend, providing new features and improved backup stability. The "client" customers are currently using, known as the Offsite Backup Manager, will be automatically upgraded over the coming week from version 5.1.0.9 to 5.2.2.2.

New Features

As well as many stability updates, this upgrade provides the following new and exciting features -

• Support for the recently released successor to Microsoft Windows XP - Windows Vista.

• Support for Microsoft Windows x64 Edition.

• Support for Microsoft Exchange 2007 backups.

• Continued and improved support for Linux, Unix, Mac and Novell Netware backups.

• Ability to backup and restore individual Exchange 2003 mailboxes, often known as a brick-level backup.

• A new backup client known as A-Click. This client is a simplified version of the standard OBM, making it easier for laptop and home-users to backup their data to our Offsite Backup Servers. It offers the same level of data-protection as the OBM without the complexity.

• Emailed reports streamlined, making it easier to see the status of a backup job directly from the subject of the email.
